Black Family Separation in the U.S. Since the Era of Slavery

Join Professor Alan Dettlaff, author of “Confronting the Racist Legacy for the American Welfare System,” and Bishop Anthony Holt, President of State Conference NAACP, for a dialogue on family separation in the years of slavery. The focus will be on the historical trauma of that separation and the echo of it up to today in foster care for black children.
